Welcome to my website! This website is my attempt to recreate the old 1990's style of web design, using pure handcoded HTML and without CSS.
I created my first website in 1999 using the now-defunct Geocities hosting platform. I learned how to code using HTML and CSS, and later on, I utilized Microsoft FrontPage as my WYSIWYG tool. Around 2006, I began using WordPress and that is my CMS of choice to this day.
It's really incredible how far the Internet has come. Twenty-plus years ago, there was no social media, so people had to code their own basic websites if they want to share their thoughts with the rest of the world. Nowadays, anyone can create a great-looking website using a free CMS like WordPress and without the need to learn HTML programming. And of course, anyone can post their thoughts and opinions on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms.
Honestly, I kinda miss the old Internet. Everything was so simple and pure back then. Browsing the World Wide Web was a fun and enjoyable experience as you discover new websites that were made by ordinary people like you and me. It was a truly magical era where kids and young adults channel their creativity by making cool websites on Geocities, Tripod, Angelfire and the like.
